Baby Gwen

I was so excited to talk to Haley Stewart, author of Carrots for Michaelmas . Haley was expecting her third child when we penciled her in on the calendar for a newborn session in June. A few days after little Gwen arrived, I snuck over to their house to photograph the little newbie. She is absolutely precious and that head full of hair is to die for. Haley was such a calm mama as I snapped some pictures of her and Gwen, and then, perhaps my favorite part of every newborn session, she oohed and awe’d when little Gwen was laid in position for her solo time with the camera. I love the mix of both the beautiful newborn portraits, and the laid back “here we are with our new baby” style pictures that so sweetly capture the emotions of those first few days with a precious little life.

Ha! And just for fun, Gwen popped her little 4 day old head up for a brief moment to smile and say, “hi!” and then was right back down to sleep.
